Our first intervention for the chef involved three shooting sessions on the dishes that we carried out to complement his online portfolio with a unique and recognizable photographic identity.
For the winter season we went back to the client’s premises to shoot the dishes, with which we completed his portfolio for the whole year. Here, too, the menu had changed, so we took care to highlight all the fundamental features that could adapt to the general style that we have given to the previous shots.
The overall style remained the same for some shots, while on others we focused on representing the raw materials. We tried to make the photos show the warm colors. Numerous studies have in fact shown that certain colors can stimulate sensory reactions in the brain and increase appetite. Warm colors – such as red, orange and yellow – are the best to make your mouth water. Green, on the other hand, can lend a more natural and organic shade to photographs.
